Following some discussion on the cdt-dev list [1] on how to add an entirely new command demonstrated that it was not a trivial task and, while org.eclipse.debug.ui has many instances of commands, it can sometimes not be easy to identify each part that is needed to work together.

Therefore, the attached gerrit covers adding a new command (showing version of GDB) to the org.eclipse.cdt.examples.dsf.gdb plug-in.
