Example for properties and .class files

In case of a multi-module maven project, I notice that files in target folder of a module are listed in the "Open Resource View". In fact the listed resource is provided by the parent project.

In addition, the parent and the maven module are both Eclipse projects opened with m2e.

Proper long-term solution requires changes to Eclipse Platform to better support nested multimodule projects. I do not believe there are any immediate plans to implement this.

In the meantime, you can try experimental "Hide folders of physically nested modules", which you can enable in eclipse preferences. You'll need to reimport your projects.

Thanks Igor for the tips.
Comment 4 Eclipse Genie CLA 2016-05-28 16:08:47 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
