We need to support project-specific gdbinit files. The simplest way to do that would be to define the "GDB command file" preference at workspace level to be something like ${project_loc}/project.gdbinit. Unfortunately, "GDB command file" attribute of the launch configuration currently doesn't support variable substitution.
The proposed fix is in Gerrit at https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/14718/.
